Introducing the WNDSN Sonntag Wallet

BERLIN, 2021-07-16 - WNDSN Applied Sciences Lab is pleased to announce the Sonntag Wallet, a wallet that brings versatility in wear to longevity in a variety of conditions, as easily useful as you head into the office on Monday as it was on the trail on Sunday.

Originally inspired by how the Israeli Defense Forces wear their dog tags, WNDSN prototyped a carrying wallet for the Mini Horary Quadrant Telemeter. The style proved useful and showed promise for broader use cases. The resulting WNDSN Sonntag Wallet thus easily adapts to a variety of conditions, first manifested by multiple wear options. The Sonntag Wallet can go around one’s neck, across one’s chest, enclose a belt, or simply in a pocket. And for those carrying it around the neck or chest, there is a flexible shock cord for both ease of use and for safety.

The WNDSN Sonntag wallet is a versatile bifold wallet with multiple carrying and attachment options.

  • Around the neck with the provided shock cord necklace.
  • Under the arm with the provided adjustable shock cord necklace.
  • Wrapped around a belt and secured with velcro.
  • In pocket like a standard bifold by removing the primary shock cord.

Opening it as a horizontal bifold, the user first sees the signature W shape that provides four generously-sized compartments on the inside large enough for credit cards, Telemeters, and twice-folded bills. Closing the wallet one finds a backside compartment for coins, secured with velcro. On the front, there is a full loop velcro field with the WNDSN pentagon insignia ready for one’s own favorite patch or glowtab. Over the patch area is a shock cord cage that can hold tools like a Telemeter, pen, or sunglasses -- perfect when hands-free is required.

Both the cage and the necklace are user-serviceable, and can easily be replaced with paracord or shock cord for years of dependable use.

Incredibly useful, comfortable, and adaptable, the Sonntag Wallet meets one’s active lifestyle needs, both in the woods and on the subway.

These wallets are hand-made in Germany in collaboration with CutPunchSew.
